Every question, grouped by topic

What are coins actually used for in Ultimate Team?

They are the currency you trade with in Ultimate Team. Matches, rewards and player sales bring them in; new signings and items for squad building challenges use them up. They stay with one club on one platform family and cannot be turned back into money.

How are the prices in pounds worked out?

Each morning we take our partner’s cheapest offer in stock for every platform, priced in euros, and multiply it by that day’s euro to sterling rate, which values one euro at about £0.84 at the moment. The result is a fair guide in pounds. The checkout itself charges in euros, so treat our sterling figures as estimates.

Is there a largest amount I can order?

The biggest ready package is 2M, but you can type a higher figure into the order card and it is priced at the same rate. Whether a very large amount is in stock is confirmed at the checkout. Bear in mind that big orders take more trades, so they can use more of the delivery window.

Why does FCCoins show only one price per platform?

Because we show the cheapest offer that is actually in stock at our partner, read every morning, rather than a range. That gives one rate for PlayStation and Xbox, about £5.88 per 100K today, and one for PC, about £5.76. Every package and any custom amount use that same rate, so there is nothing to compare within the site, only between days.

Does the order card include the payment fee?

No. The card prices the coins only, in pounds as an estimate. Payment fees come in at the checkout, where each method lists its own, and the complete euro amount appears before you confirm. Closing the checkout at that point costs you nothing at all.

Why does my order still say new order?

New Order means the payment has arrived and the order is waiting for a seller to pick it up for delivery. Once someone starts, the status changes to in progress and the order chat becomes active. If it stays on new order for a long time, write to support in the live chat with your order number.

When does the delivery clock start?

The window of 2 hours quoted by our partner starts once your delivery details are in, not when the payment goes through. If you pay in the evening but send the details the next morning, the clock starts in the morning. Submitting complete details straight after paying is the quickest route.

How does Comfort Trade differ from Player Auction?

Comfort Trade means a trader works inside your club via the Web App, handing the coins over in market trades. Player Auction would work the other way round: you list a player card, and the seller pays the agreed sum for it. Our partner does not offer Player Auction at present, so all orders go by Comfort Trade.

Will I be told when the coins have arrived?

The order status changes to completed, awaiting your confirmation, once the seller has finished. You can see this in your order list on the checkout site, and the order chat shows any messages from the team. There is nothing to click: check your balance in Ultimate Team and report a shortfall in the chat.

What does EA mean by an active day?

EA counts a calendar day, by UTC, as active when you finish three Ultimate Team matches and log in to an EA app, Web or Companion, on that same date. Extra matches on the same day do not count for more. Active days are how most players without earlier access unlock the Transfer Market in the apps.

What if I lose access to my two-factor method?

Then your backup codes are the way back in. EA says that if your chosen verification method is unavailable, the codes are the only way to sign in from a new device. That is why it pays to note them down somewhere safe and offline, and to keep a few unused ones in reserve after any delivery.

Do I need to open the Web App myself?

Only to check, before ordering, that the Transfer Market there lets you search and buy. The delivery itself is done by the trader in the Web App, so you do not need to be logged in while it runs. The Companion App is simply the phone version, with the same market access.

Can I use an auto-buyer with the coins I receive?

No. EA forbids in-game bots, automation and tools such as auto-buyers, whatever the source of your coins. Trading by hand at fair prices is fine, and EA lists it among the legitimate ways to earn. Using automation would add a separate breach of the rules on top of the purchase itself.

Can I pay in pounds?

Not directly. Our partner charges EU orders in euros, so a sterling card is charged in euros and converted by your bank, which may add a foreign-currency fee. Crypto payments in USDT or USDC follow the rate shown on the payment page. Our pound figures help you compare, while the euro sum at checkout is binding.

Is PayPal available?

Yes, on request. PayPal is not a button at the checkout: write to the support chat before paying, and a PayPal payment request for your order will follow. Like card and crypto, PayPal carries its own service fee, which is shown to you before you complete the payment.

What happens if my payment fails?

An order whose payment did not go through is not processed: it does not appear in your order list and nobody starts work on it. Go back and place the order again. If money left your account but you have no confirmation, contact support with the e-mail used, the amount and the time of payment.

Is there a fee for cancelling?

If an order cannot be delivered, the refund is full. If you simply change your mind, our partner’s policy allows a cancellation fee to be deducted, and an order already in progress is refunded only in part. Requests are accepted for 21 days from payment through support on the checkout site.

Do I need separate orders for PS5 and PS4?

No. PS4 and PS5 share one Ultimate Team club, so one PlayStation order covers both, and the same goes for Xbox One and Series X|S. Separate orders are only needed for separate families: a PlayStation club and a PC club, for example, each need their own order with their own EA details.

What does Quick Sell Recovery do?

It lets you undo a quick sell in the Web or Companion App within 7 days, up to five times in any 31-day period. It works for player items only, not for loan items, and only in the current game. Your balance must hold at least the coins that the quick sell paid out.

Is Squad Battles still part of FC 27?

Yes. Squad Battles carries on in FC 27 with weekly competition matches, Battle Points, ranks, featured and Team of the Week squads you can replay, and Co-Op. This season it also awards Champions qualification points, and EA says its coin rewards have gone up compared with FC 26.
